TVO chief executive gave full responsibility of their family’s relocation to GMCFinland family

Philippe Bordarier, a French national, began his tenure as CEO of TVO in December 2025. His wife, Laura Bouzounie, shares how the family’s move to Finland went and how GMCFinland has helped them adjust to their new city abroad.

– Everything went smoothly from the beginning. Jenny Rajahalme, the head of GMC, took care of everything, but most importantly, she anticipated our needs. When we arrived, within a matter of days, all the paperwork was taken care of and we felt secure. It was a huge weight lifted from our shoulders, tells Laura Bouzounie.

Bouzounie anticipated that the family would work with a big company. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that GMCFinland is a small, family-oriented company operating in the Satakunta region.

– Jenny arrived with a big smile and welcomed our whole family with genuine care. Within a few weeks, Jenny got to know our family and how we function, praises Bouzounie.

GMCFinland then suggested different options that could fit this family. For example, Jenny came with Laura to the main library so that the family could sign up.

– My daughter was thrilled. In the middle of a move, I would never have thought about doing that myself, but it has had a huge impact on our integration here in Rauma. It is still one of our weekly outings today.

Personal connections and life in Rauma

The family had lived in Finland before, but in a much larger city.

– I underestimated how much a small town can feel like a small village, where many things happen through personal connections. That is also one of the reasons why Jenny is so effective: she knows everyone and knows how to connect people. We feel welcomed, supported and seen.

The family is really enjoying their time in Rauma.

– It feels like the best life. We are lucky enough to live in this amazing country, surrounded by such beautiful nature. Jenny and GMCFinland have supported us all the way. They have helped us discover what Rauma has to offer and find what works for our family.

– Another big plus for us has been the education system. Our children go to Pikkunorssi, and it is by far the most efficient and caring daycare I have ever experienced.

Genuine care and support

Laura consideres herself a very independent woman. She doesn't necessarily need to socialize a lot, but arriving in a new country as a stay-at-home mom can still feel lonely.

– Jenny always took the time to ask me how I was doing. She talks a lot — and she listens a lot too! I think that is how she works: with genuine curiosity. She really takes the time to understand people, and then she finds the best fit for her clients, says Laura.

She would definitely recommend GMCFinland to anyone considering moving to the Satakunta area.

– For us, it has been much more than help with moving, it has been about feeling at home.
